Ios Bay sailing approaches

Ios harbor is located on the west side of the island. The little rocky island Diakofto is stands out clearly on the west side of the entrance of the Ios bay. Mooring: Go stern or bows in the peer on the east side of the harbor next to the ferry dock.

The sea-bed is muddy with excellent holding. Mind the surge of the ferries, especially of the High speed catamarans. Keep good distance from the dock and keep your gangway higher from the dock when not in use.
